AEC Students

The Writing Center supports students with accommodations approved by the Accessible Education Center (AEC). You can request one additional tutoring appointment each week, available for either in-person or online tutoring.

Our tutors are trained to support students with a wide range of writing needs. We work with the AEC to help ensure students receive the support outlined in their approved accommodations.

Additional Tutoring Time Process

If you are already registered with the AEC, start at Step 4.​

Step 1: Register with the AEC

The student follows the AEC registration process.

Step 2: AEC Notifies the Writing Center

After you have registered, the AEC will notify the Wriring Center of your approved accommodation.

Step 3: Check Your Email

The Writing Center will email you with instructions for accessing your tutoring accommodation.

• If you do not have a WCOnline account, we'll explain how to create one.
• If you already have a WCOnline account, we'll explain how to request your additional tutoring session.

Step 4: Request Your Additional Tutoring Session

Before submitting a request, you must book two tutoring appointments in WCOnline.

Each week that you would like an additional tutoring session:

• Check WCOnline for available appointment slots.
• Complete the Additional Tutoring Session Request Form.

We will book the appointment on your behalf in WCOnline and contact you if there are any issues with your request.
