Celebrate the season with the 2nd annual Fall into Well-being Fest on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on the Tower Lawn! Enjoy fun activities, giveaways, helpful resources, and real-life tips to boost your everyday well-being this season.

What to Expect

When you arrive, you’ll receive an Event Guide to help you navigate the fest. The fest is organized into three areas, where you'll explore the different Dimensions of Wellness:

Visit tables in each area, meet campus and community partners, participate in activities, and collect stamps in your Event Guide as you go. 

Earn a prize by collecting 4 stamps from each of the three areas (12 stamps total). Collect 8 stamps in the Positive Emotions & Relationships area to earn a T-shirt for Intimate Partner/Domestic Violence Awareness Month.


Key Health Assets

This section is all about taking care of your physical well-being! Get hands-on with Narcan, prepare for cold & flu season, explore nicotine’s impact, build budget skills, and discover ways to support your physical and environmental wellness. You can even pedal your own smoothie on the Smoothie Bike!

Health Education Tips 

  • Aim for regular movement throughout your day to support energy, mood, sleep, and physical health.
  • Eat regularly and stay hydrated to support your energy, focus, and overall wellbeing.
  • Wash your hands, stay home when sick, and keep up with preventive care. Use SWC Health Services for your healthcare needs and take advantage of upcoming Flu Shot Clinics.
  • Reduce waste by reusing items, recycling correctly, and choosing reusable options when possible.
  • Reduce tobacco’s impact by cutting back on use, limiting secondhand smoke exposure, and properly disposing of cigarettes and vapes.
  • Track your spending and plan for upcoming expenses to help reduce financial stress.
  • Anyone can prevent opioid overdose by simply knowing signs & symptoms. Pick up free Narcan and drug testing strips at the SWC Wellness Lounge.
  • If using substances, reduce risk by knowing what you're taking, avoiding mixing when possible, starting with less, and having a plan for emergencies.

Positive Emotions and Relationships

This section focuses on promoting emotional and social well-being through activities that foster healthy connections with yourself and others. Explore positive emotional expression, learn about healthy relationship dynamics, and connect with valuable community resources. Get your event guide stamped for all the tables with purple tablecloths for an opportunity to receive a free IPDVM t-shirt (while supplies last).

Health Education Tips

  • Visit our Condom Co-Op in the Wellness Lounge in the Student Wellness for up to 10 free safer sex supplies per day (condoms, lube, dental dams, FC2, Plan B).
  • IPV/DV Month- go purple this month to honor survivors of sexual violence
  • Healthy Relationships - Use open communication, respected boundaries and consent to build strong, safe relationships with yourself and others.
  • Did you know depression is linked to changes in seasons, typically occurring in the fall and winter due to reduced sunlight?  Check out light therapy from the Wellness Lounge.

Interests, Purpose, and Belonging

This section provides space to explore community care through meaningful connection, engagement, and stress-reducing activities. Drop by the resource tables to learn about the organizations on campus who support students’ well-being and educational journeys. Join in on creative and purposeful activities that build and strengthen community.

  • Learn the power of community when in recovery or exploring sobriety by challenging stigma with our CRC Peer Mentor

  • Visit Resource Tables: UndocuSpartan, Career Center, Peer Connections, and MLK Library
  • Contribute to the Community Mural
  • Explore breathwork, gentle movement, and self reflection with 'Lead with JOY: Empowerment Through Yoga' sessions

Health Education Tips

  • Practice active, nonjudgemental listening when supporting those in distress. Visit SWC CAPS (3rd floor) for mental health support and same-day services.
  • Getting involved provides opportunities to create connection, community, and belonging, develop meaningful relationships and strengthen your support system.
  • Celebrate cultural identity and explore community connections that can inform a strong sense of well-being. Belonging thrives where culture, ritual, and wellness connect.
  • Did you know that engaging in physical movement, mindfulness, or creative expression alleviates mental health distress? Join yoga, walk the labyrinth, and or make your mark on the community mural while enjoying the tunes outdoors to support your mental well-being.
  • Reflect on your well-being by checking in with your goals, values, and needs regularly. Leave room for growth and pivoting when needed.
