Jean Dreyfus Lectureship
The Jean Dreyfus Lectureship for Undergraduate Institutions at SJSU (2026) funds a multi-day visit by a notable scientist to a primarily undergraduate institution as well as sponsoring summer research and research-related travel for 2 undergraduate scholars.

Schedule of Events
Ms. Cristina Padilla will visit SJSU campus October 6th thru 8th, 2026. She will give 3 lectures:
- Career-path conversation targeted to a student audience Tuesday, 10/6 (lunch and learn 12-1; coffee chat 1-2; ISB 130)
- Science talk on Tuesday 10/6 (3:30-4:45 pm, SH 100)
- Public lecture on Wednesday 10/7 (6:30-7:30 pm, Student Union Theater)
Immediately prior to the public lecture, there will be a welcome and poster session featuring SJSU student research taking place in the chemistry department in the Student Union Theater courtyard. Registration for the talks will be made available closer to the date, so please check back here for more information as it becomes available.
